Virtue, Venture and Vision in the Coastal Zone has been chosen as theme of the conference. Many interesting projects in the region are designed and executed with environmental awareness, commercial benefits for local and regional economies and sustainability in mind. The conference's main sponsor and long-term CEDA Member National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC), who's portfolio consists of a variety of projects, including Corniche Beach, the Mangroves, Suwa Island and the Mussafah Channel Project, will be hosting the technical visit.

Participants will have a guided boat trip to view a number of selected, recently finished projects, such as the Al Gurm Resort, the Mangroves Channels, Abu Dhabi Corniche Beach, Nareel Island, Al Maryah Island and the Fishing Port.

...from the air
HelicopterNMDC invites 20 people for a helicopter flight to see a number of their projects from the air. Those delegates whose names have been drawn in a lottery for this tour will be notified by the Conference Secretariat on 28 November.  

Please not that these two tours will run parallel.

You must register for the tour in advance (please refer to the registration form). There is an extra charge for participation: € 50.00 (excl. VAT, if applicable). Please note: The number of places is limited to a maximum of 50 persons and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

The coach will depart from Beach Rotana Hotel at 13.30 hours and will return to the same hotel at approximately 18.30 hours. Please check this website for up-to-date information. Participants registering for the visit will receive detailed joining instructions from the Conference Secretariat.
